CBR Plate Testing
The California Bearing Ratio (CBR) test is essential for evaluating subgrade reaction and penetration resistance of soil and aggregate materials. Plate Load Testing
Our Plate Load Testing, also known as the Plate Bearing Test, is performed according to BS 1377 Part 9:1990 standards. This test determines ground bearing capacity and strength by applying incremental pressures using one of our three plate sizes (300 mm, 400 mm, and 600 mm). The data gathered includes essential settlement figures, tailored to meet the specific requirements of your site and material.
Lightweight deflectometer
For tests that cannot be performed using traditional methods in tight spaces, we offer the Lightweight Deflectometer (LWD) testing. The LWD dynamic plate bearing system measures the bearing capacity of soils and aggregates, providing a quick and portable alternative to time-consuming plate tests. This method allows for easy maneuverability around the site, ensuring efficient and reliable results.
Dynamic cone penetometer
Our Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP) testing delivers rapid in-situ measurements of soil strength and compaction. This method provides California Bearing Ratio (CBR) percentage values for existing roads and cohesive materials. Additionally, it can be used on granular ground, offering a versatile solution for various site conditions.
Hand shear vanes
We use Hand Shear Vane (HSV) testing to determine the undrained shear strength of cohesive soils. This quick and straightforward procedure provides immediate results, making it ideal for preliminary site assessments and offering a rough guide to ground strength.
Concrete
Our team of fully trained technicians performs comprehensive concrete testing services, including sampling freshly mixed concrete, conducting slump tests, and creating cubes for compressive strength testing. Sampling
Our highly trained technicians conduct detailed sampling of soil, aggregate materials, and stockpiles. We perform classification and depth determination to BS and BS EN standards, providing accurate and detailed reports from trial holes and pits.
